Protection Dog - Dasty
Family and Personal Protection Dog
"I was taught to use our protection dog Dasty to defend both myself and my family should the worst ever occur...and he gives me such a peace of mind".
We live in a secluded position in West Sussex and as such our property may be considered to be "vulnerable to crime". My children and grandchildren (of varying age) live on our family estate.
I first approached Alaster in August 2011 about the possibility of suiting a "personal protection dog" to our circumstance. Any dog would have to be obedient, sociable around children and horses. I told Alaster that I also wanted to take him to board meetings and anywhere that a normal "pet" would go. He listened and after a few weeks he invited me to view some of his trained dogs.
We travelled to Wiltshire and met Alaster and his team. My husband and I viewed several dogs but one really stood out, not just because he was very handsome but because he was attentive and confident around my self and husband. His obedience was second to none and as we walked with him I knew he was the one.
Alaster explained what was left to complete his training and gave an indication of the timescale before “Dasty” could join our family. In early October Dasty was delivered to our home and under his staff’s instruction I was taught to use Dasty to defend both myself and my family should the worst ever occur.
Dasty has quickly become a much loved member of the family and my own “little shadow”. He goes everywhere with me to the office, to the hair dresser. He is adored by the grandchildren and he gives me such a peace of mind.
Alaster and his teams experience stood out to me and Dasty is a reflection of his commitment to providing such wonderful and well trained dogs … thank you.
